BlueStar Energy Solutions Receives Massachusetts Electric License
BlueStar Energy Solutions has received a Massachusetts electric supplier license to serve residential, commercial, and industrial customers, effective October 8, 2010.


Energy Plus Holdings LLC Receives Illinois Electric License
Energy Plus Holdings LLC has received an Illinois alternative retail electric supplier license to serve all customer classes, including residential customers, at Commonwealth Edison and what were formerly the three Ameren utilities (now Ameren Illinois).  Energy Plus Holdings’s Illinois application was first reported by Matters (8/11/10).  


Ideal Promotions Seeks Illinois ABC License
Ideal Promotions Inc. applied for an Illinois electric agent/broker/consultant license.  Ideal Promotions is a purchasing co-op for independent neighborhood retail liquor stores, as well as convenience stores and independent grocers which sell alcoholic beverages.  Ideal Promotions also provides marketing and management consulting services to such stores.


Intelligen Resources Seeks Illinois ABC License
Intelligen Resources LP applied for an Illinois electric agent/broker/consultant license.  Intelligen Resources, which has been active in ERCOT, is expanding into the Northeast and said that it has license applications pending in Maryland, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and the District of Columbia.


Capital Energy Seeks Illinois ABC License
Capital Energy Inc. applied for an Illinois electric agent/broker/consultant license.  The start-up, which is active in New York, is led by Caleb Berger, formerly an Executive Vice President at broker National Energy Group.


Best Practice Energy Seeks Maine Broker License
Best Practice Energy LLC applied for a Maine electric aggregator/broker license to serve all sizes of non-residential customers at Central Maine Power, Bangor Hydro-Electric, and Maine Public Service.  Aside from Maine, the start-up said that it intends to broker in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, and Ohio.  Bryan Yagoobian, who has brokered electricity in the Northeast with several companies, serves as president of Best Practice Energy.


PUCT Approves Trade Name Changes for Infinite Energy
The PUCT granted Infinite Energy, Inc. an amendment to its REP certificate to add the trade name Infinite Energy and delete the trade name 123 Energy, Inc.


PUCT Approves Withdrawal of GTC Energy Certificate
The PUCT approved GTC Energy, Inc.'s request to withdraw its REP certificate.  GTC Energy, Inc. has never served customers.  With the certificate relinquished, Staff will move to dismiss its petition to revoke GTC Energy's certificate for failure to meet the requirements of new Subst. R. 25.107.
