Volunteer Energy Services Marketing FirstEnergy Solutions Supply to Customers at Columbus Southern Power

FirstEnergy Solutions is offering electric service to small commercial customers in the Columbus Southern Power territory under offers marketed by Volunteer Energy Services.

The fixed price offers are for Small and Medium General Service customers of Columbus Southern Power which use less than 700,000 kWh per year.  

Pricing for customers on Rate GS1 and GS2 is 6.99¢ per kWh for accounts that in aggregate are greater than 400,000 annual kWh, and 7.29¢ per kWh for accounts that in aggregate are less than 399,999 annual kWh.  Commercial customers on rate code GS3 can enroll for a fixed price of 6.35¢ per kWh.

Prices are fixed through May 2013.  The pricing represents a savings of between 10-40% off of the Standard Service Offer.

The FirstEnergy Solutions agreement includes an early termination fee of $100 for each account less than 100,000 kWh, $400 for each account between 100,000 kWh and 400,000 kWh, and $1500 for each account greater than 400,000 kWh.

Volunteer Energy is also marketing FirstEnergy Solutions supply in the Duke Energy Ohio territory.
